To agree that there shall be no military presence or function in a specified area (except, possibly, a peacekeeping group); or, in the case of an area within one state\'s jurisdiction or control, to prohibit such activity. The area in question may then be referred to as a demilitarized zone (DMZ). If it is adjoined by two or more states it may be known as a buffer zone. |
