The goal of supporters of European ‘integration’: a European state.
Since the entry into force of the Treaty of Maastricht in November 1993, the institutions involved in discharging the responsibilities of the Council of Ministers for foreign and security policy (CFSP) and judicial and police affairs. On this technical definition of ‘European Union’ the term excludes the European Community.
Popularly, the ‘European Union’ plus the ‘European Community’. |
