Munich agreement |

The agreement between Britain, France, Germany and Italy in September 1938 which approved Germany\'s plan to annex certain areas of Czechoslovakia. It led to ‘Munich’ (the city in which the agreement was signed) becoming almost a synonym for appeasement. |
