The 1956 crisis in which, in response to Egypt\'s nationalization of the Suez Canal, Britain and France, in conjunction with Israel, invaded Egypt. Their attempt to undo the nationalization, and topple President Nasser of Egypt, was dramatically unsuccessful. |
