This international organization was established in 1994 as the successor body to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT). It is intended to continue and strengthen GATT\'s work. Its headquarters is in Geneva, Switzerland. It is not part of the United Nations system, but has cooperating arrangements and practices with the UN. |
